ABOUT
Be NutriSavvy
In order to be NutriSavvy we need to understand the relationship between three key pillars that affect our well being: our body, the nutrients we need, and the whole-food plants that provide these nutrients to us without the negative impacts of processed or animal-based foods. We need to know our bodies better, the functions of each of these nutrients, and the vast array of delicious whole-food, plant-based options we have to choose from.
How We Help
Practical & Relevant Info
Be NutriSavvy is a nutrition platform created by parents for parents and for anyone who cares about their well being and the well being of their loved ones. We understand how important it is to find reliable information that is clear, concise, and relevant to us. This is why we’re creating interactive pages divided in three top categories: Our Body, Whole-Food Plants, and Nutrients.
Each family has its own set of circumstances that impact our nutrition options and choices. So, we’ve made it easy for you to find the particular topics you’re interested in to help you make the best decisions for yourself and your family. Once you visit our interactive pages within our 3 main categories, you can easily scan through the content and select specific areas that you want to learn more about.
At a time when fad diets have taken over the internet, antagonizing healthy foods like whole carbs and promoting harmful foods like saturated fats, we understand it is important to back all our content with reliable, science-based sources. This is why you can find all our sources listed at the end of each interactive page, with external links.
We also have blog articles that are meant to help you in your journey with practical advice on finding and preparing healthy foods, inspiring your loved ones to eat it, maintaining your nutrition goals when eating out, and more. Plus, you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get regular posts with updates from our site, interesting facts, and tips to navigate some funny, relatable situations.
FOUNDERS
As parents, we had two very good reasons to start our journey towards a whole-foods, plant-based diet. First, we wanted to raise a healthy child. Second, we wanted to stay healthy for our family and for ourselves. As we looked up information about different foods and nutrition, we discovered there was a huge need for a site made for parents. So, we decided to build it ourselves. Our little kiddo is very excited about this project and often contributes as well! She chose her own mask here.
