ABOUT

Be NutriSavvy

In order to be NutriSavvy we need to understand the relationship between the three key pillars that affect our well-being. From our body to the nutrients it needs to thrive, and the healthiest foods that can provide them. Once we can identify the positive and negative effects of foods in our health, making good nutrition choices happens naturally.

How We Help

Practical Nutrition Info

Be NutriSavvy is a nutrition platform created by parents for parents and for anyone making nutrition choices for themselves and their loved ones.

Each family has its own set of circumstances that impact our nutrition options. Still, one thing we all need is clear, concise, relevant, and reliable information.

Our platform divides its content in three top categories: Our Body, Whole-Food Plants, and Nutrients. Within each category, you can navigate to specific topics until you find the information that matters most to you.

As fad diets continue to take over the internet, we are committed to backing all our content with science-based publications. This is why you can find all our hyperlinked sources at the end of each interactive page.

We also have blog articles to help your journey at home and while eating out. Plus, you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more!

FOUNDERS

As parents, we had two very good reasons to start our journey towards a whole-foods, plant-based diet. First, we wanted to raise a healthy child. Second, we wanted to stay healthy for our family and for ourselves. As we looked up information about different foods and nutrition, we discovered there was a huge need for a site made for parents. So, we decided to build it ourselves. Our little kiddo is very excited about this project and often contributes as well! She chose her own mask here.

Cat Walsh

Cat received a Holistic Nutrition Consultant Certificate from American Fitness Professionals & Associates in 2019. She also has a BA in Educational Technology, and an MA in Film and Video. Some career highlights include writing for Mexico’s Sesame Street; producing educational videos for the Inter-American Development Bank, and producing on air and online entertainment/lifestyle content for Telemundo, Yahoo! Español, KTLA, The Chicago Tribune, and Synergistic Productions. Cat has always been passionate about writing and creating fun, relevant content.

Jason England

After graduating from Full Sail University, Jason moved to Los Angeles and worked as a sound and dialogue editor in many top movie studios, including Paramount, Universal, and Warner Bros. Some of his favorite movies he work on are Mission Impossible 2, Vanilla Sky, Save the Last Dance, Shall We Dance, and Along Came a Spider. When he and Cat partnered up to start Synergistic Productions, he excelled as a videographer and video editor. More recently, he attended Gnomon in Hollywood to study visual effects for feature films. Jason’s true passion, though, is house music.
